The community-minded team of attorneys at Shrader, Mendez & O’Connell are proud to give back to the ounty community by volunteering with Crossroads for Florida Kids.
Crossroads for Florida Kids is a local 501(c)(3) nonprofit composed of caring attorneys who give their time and legal skills to help children caught up in the legal system.
Three Tampa-area attorneys — Rosemary Armstrong, Sandy Weinberg, and Allison Singer — formed Crossroads for Florida Kids in 2012 after learning of the lack of quality legal representation available for children caught up in Florida’s legal system.
Forty lawyers initially expressed interest in the idea of helping vulnerable kids in dependency and delinquency proceedings.
Crossroads for Florida Kids pairs experienced and compassionate attorneys with children who are facing complicated legal issues. Some of the cases attorneys with Crossroads for Florida Kids are involved in include children who are in foster care and who also have a delinquency proceeding as well as the following:
Attorneys donate their time to represent their young clients. In 2020 alone, Crossroads for Florida Kids attorneys donated 3,828 pro bono hours on behalf of Florida kids.
Shrader, Mendez & O’Connell, Attorneys at Law, is proud of its attorneys’ commitment to donating their time and considerable advocacy skills in pursuit of justice for some of Hillsborough County’s most vulnerable individuals.
