Shrader, Mendez & O’Connell Partners with Samaritan’s Feet

The compassionate legal team at Shrader, Mendez & O’Connell has partnered with Samaritan’s Feet for an impactful charity event in the Tampa area. This effort is known as “One City: Destination for Impact.”  

What Is One City Tampa?

One City Tampa comprises several important community events. This nationwide effort focuses on helping communities in need across the country. 

Samaritan’s Feet provides shoes to children and seniors who need them. Each of these events will last one week and serve from 5,000 to 6,000 people. However, the distribution of shoes is not the only goal of these important Samaritan’s Feet events. 

One City also strives to bring together community leaders, religious clergy, and other partners from the area to serve their neighbors. One in five children in the United States lives in poverty. Samaritan’s Feet strives to help those in underserved communities by providing “Hope Totes.” These packages are filled with useful supplies and resources, including:

• Shoes
• Fresh pairs of socks
• Hygiene kits
• Messages of encouragement (known as “Hope Notes”)

The One City Tampa unity-based effort aims to help an estimated 2,000 families in the area. With the help of Shrader, Mendez & O’Connell, and other partners, the organization will provide 1,500 local children and 500 Tampa seniors with new shoes.
